The reconstruction of the ancient environment was created with
data coming from different studies: first of all, the analysis
of the recognizable archaeological structures, followed by the
study of the iconographical and literary sources connected to
the site and, finally, the comparison with architectonical and
decorative contemporary models.
The immersive reconstruction inside the virtual space, although
rich and "alive", is not enough to convey all its related historical
and cultural aspects.
The application has been developed as a proper and real system
of information composed by different channels: the characters
and their behaviours, the videos and the use of different narrative
instruments help the users to understand the ancient environment.
Perception becomes understanding. Understanding becomes knowledge.
