The Museo Nazionale Romano at the Terme di Diocleziano already contains findings coming from different archaeological areas along the via Flamina.

The Museo Nazionale Romano at Palazzo Massimo instead, holds the well-known frescos of the Villa of Livia at Prima Porta.
In this way, the context related to the via Flaminia is communicated and perceived as a whole; the Museo Nazionale Romano at the Terme di Diocleziano will be characterized by an innovative and distinctive character strongly oriented to advanced and unexplored processes of fruition, communication and learning.

Although the ancient via Flaminia has a great historical importance from an historical point of view, any archaeological museums of Rome have an area totally dedicated to it, enhance its value in order to offer a joined vision of the road and its development over the years.

The "Virtual museum of the ancient via Flaminia" is in the Museo Nazionale Romano delle Terme di Diocleziano, nearby Piazza dei Cinquecento; this location has been chosen in order to create an integrated thematic tour and to collect the findings related to the via Flaminia in the same city.
